How to pay an appointment using Membership ?

Prerequisites

A Membership Type has been created How to Create a New Membership Type

Solution

Follow the steps below to charge an appointment to a Membership and then how to view the receipt that shows items paid by the membership.

  1. On the Client Header, select the Client.
  2. Open the Client Details window by clicking on the  next to the client's name.
  3. Click on the Memberships tab, then click on New Membership.
  4. On the Client Membership Details window select the Membership Type.
  5. Click on Save

  6. Go to Appointment
  7. On the Appointment Book, right click >>Click New Appointment
    Please NoteThe Appointment Service Charge that is added to the Membership Type is what should be selected on the appointments so that the appointments can be charged to the Membership. The Total Units Allowed on the Membership Type restricts the number of times appointments can be charged to the Membership.
  8. Select one of the Service Types/Charges that is set on the Membership Type. The Charge To should then default to the Membership.
  9. Click on Save

    Note: The dollar value of the service charge does not come into play as Memberships are a one-off charge.
  10. To create the client's payment for the Membership, on the Client Header, Click on 
  11. Click on Save & Receipt
    Note: The receipt will show the appointments that have been charged to the membership.
  12. The receipt will update each time an appointment is charged to the Membership. To view an already created Payment Receipt, open the Client Details window by clicking on the  next to the client's name.
  13. Click on the Accounts tab to view the Payments.
  14. Find the Payment for the Membership and select the scroll icon on the right to view
