How to Send Letters as a PDF

Issue

Need to send letters as a PDF rather than a word document using the Gensolve Practice Manager mail system.

Solution

Follow the steps below to send your letters in PDF format:

IMPORTANT!

This functionality will be limited to .docx files as .doc is a Microsoft proprietary format. Legacy .doc files will not be supported, so if you have any letter template in .doc format, you can download it, open in word, save as .docx and upload again. If they already are .docx you don't need to do anything.

From Letters and Uploads Window

    1. Select a client >> click on Uploads
    2. Locate the letter you need to send and click on 
    3. Check (or modify as required) the data in the Send E-mail To... Window
    4. Tick Send your letters as PDF Documents? check box
    5. Click Send

From Client Details Window

    1. Select a client >> Click on  to open the Client Details window
    2. Click on  to open the Gensolve Practice Manager E-mail Sender form.
    3. Check (or modify as required) the data in the Send E-mail To... Window
    4. Click Attach a file >> Select Letter
    5. Select the letter(s) you want to send
    6. Click Add
    7. Tick Send your letters as PDF Documents? check box
      Note: This check box will only appear if letters have been selected
    8. Click Send
