Installing the HICAPS Terminal and Software

HICAPS Terminal

To install the HICAPS Terminal (the device), please refer to the HICAPS Connect web page on the HICAPS website, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the drop down menu next to HICAPS Connect Terminal Support.

You may need to download the Keyspan Drivers if you were not provided these by HICAPS.  HICAPS should provide the Keyspan Adaptor, Drivers and Instructions on how to install the Terminal.  Alternatively you can contact HICAPS on 1300 650 852 to arrange for the Terminal to be installed by a technician or to request support assistance.

Note: The HICAPS Terminal must be installed before it can be linked to Gensolve using HICAPS Connect.

HICAPS Connect Software

  1. Click here to download the HICAPS Connect software files from the Gensolve Website which allows the Installed Terminal talk to Gensolve Practice Manager.
  2. Double click on the downloaded file (HicapsConnect_XXX.exe) to initiate the installation process
  3. Click Run and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation
  4. Ensure the software is up-to-date.
  5. Right click on the HICAPS icon () in the taskbar.
  6. Select the Configure menu.
  7. Click on the Updates button.
