To manage Ledger Budgets, go to Accounting >> Chart of Accounts >> Ledger Budgets

You can create multiple budgets and for various date ranges (e.g.. financial year or quarter).

The application can automatically create all ledger rows based on the Expenses and Revenue ledgers currently defined in the application.

For each ledger row, specify a budget amount for the month. Use the  icon to fill in the same amount to all subsequent months in the specified date range.

Tracking a budget

Once completed, use the  to export your budget to a MS Excel document.

 

To track your P&L against your budget, use the accounting report Profit and Loss vs Budget.
